Queensland Powerball winner unaware of $10m win
Trend News To Day in Google - THE $10 million Powerball jackpot landed in southeast Queensland last night, but the mystery winner is still at large and unaware their life is set to change and they’re now the state’s newest multi-millionaire.
There was only one Division One winning entry across Australia in Powerball draw 1123 on Thursday, which takes home the entire jackpot of $10,658,989.09.
But as the winning entry was not registered to a Winners Circle card, Golden Casket officials have no way to contact the mystery ticketholder to deliver the dream-come-true news.
They’re urging anyone who had an entry in last night’s draw to check their ticket as soon as possible.
The winning entry was purchased at Chatswood Hills News & Casket Agency, Shop 34, Chatswood Hills Shopping Centre, Magellan Rd, Springwood.
The winning ticketholder is urged to contact Golden Casket as soon as possible on 131 868 to begin the prize claim process.
Golden Casket spokesman Matt Hart said he was eagerly waiting for Queensland’s newest multi-millionaire to check their Powerball entry and make contact.
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1123 were 39, 17, 36, 35, 27 and 33, while the all-important Powerball was 7.
Last financial year, 18 Powerball division one winning entries across the Lotto’s jurisdictions won more than $273 million. During that time, the biggest individual Division One Powerball prize was won by a syndicate of Queensland Government workers who took home $55 million.
The Lotto’s Division One winning tally has now reached 375 so far this calendar year, including 96 won by Golden Casket customers.
